Made Nigeria: Since Innoson is one of the widely recognised made in Africa car assembling companies, partnering with the popular TV show pertaining to Nigeria and Africa at large, will further promote made in Nigerian products.

The company announced its partnership with Multichoice just a few days after a Federal High Court ordered the arrest of its CEO, Innocent Chukwuma, and two others on four counts bordering on conspiracy, forgery, and fraud to the tune of N2.4 billion.

The company is seamlessly running their business despite the legal issue they have at hand, the CEO via its Twitter handle stated that Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) was behind the arrest warrant issued, stating that the issuance of bench warrant against him is an abuse of process taken too far.

The company stands to benefit from the partnership since the show advertises most of its sponsors on air during the three months it would be aired.

Many companies in the past have partnered and sponsored the Big Brother Naija show to promote its brand. Sponsoring a reality show like Big Brother is quite expensive and takes a lot to set up.

It was alleged last year one of the main sponsors of the Big Brother show (PayPorte) ran into financial troubles after hosting the show. The CEO, Eyo Bassey, was unable to pay his staff their salaries and was continuously called out on social media over the inability to pay the outstanding salaries of staff who voluntarily left the company.

Amaka Obioji, the writer of this article, is FULL of mischief. In her silly and tribal comment, she stated that it was the “Federal Government that ordered the arrest” of Innoson. A blatant lie!

It’ll be nice for this medium to separate itself from tribal warlords masquerading as journalists. Let Innoson face his legal issues rather than using the mischievous to confuse the gullible ones.
