Data from Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube reveal Nigeria’s Afrobeat Superstar, Davido has amassed a staggering $2 million within just three months since the release of “Unavailable,” from his highly acclaimed “Timeless Album.”

The 31-year-old singer and son of billionaire businessman, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has dominated the charts with his latest body of work, “Timeless” album.
This is coming at the start of his Houston and Chicago tours slated for July 7 and July 8, 2023.
The analysis from these major streaming platforms provides a comprehensive report card on Nigeria’s “Omo Baba Olowo” and how he made his billions from this latest album.
How did Davido earn $2 million from his Timeless album?
Spotify- 153,900,000 streams
A breakdown of his earnings shows that on Spotify, which pays an average of $0.004 per stream- Davido made an estimated $615,600.
The top trending track from the Timeless album “Unavailable,” featuring Musa Keys, amassed over 40 million streams on Spotify. Davido has over 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Apple music-171,300,000 streams
On Apple Music, the Timeless album recorded 171 million streams. Based on a fee of $0.01 per stream, the Afrobeat star could earn an estimated $1.7 million.
YouTube-110,000,000 streams
The 30-year-old singer garnered 110 million streams from the album on YouTube. YouTube reportedly pays its creators between $0.003 to $0.005 per stream.
- On average that is 0.004 per stream on the platform. Hence Davido could make an estimated $440,000(N326 million).
An aggregation of his earning from these three streaming platforms pegs the estimated revenue at $2.76 million (or N2.05 billion)
The “Kante” singer, Davido released his Timeless album on March 31, 2023, and it has received accolades and positive reviews. The album has also topped charts in both foreign and local-breaking long-standing records of previous hits from Burna Boy and others.
- Timeless is Davido’s fourth studio album and before release was tagged most pre-ordered album by an African artist, surpassing the previous record set by Nigerian artist Burna Boy with his Grammy-winning album, “Twice as Tall.”
