Ahead of Tomorrow’s Election, NSE ASI closes green

The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended today’s session, on a positive note.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended today’s session, on a positive note. The All Share Index closed today’s trading session at 32,715.20 basis points, up 0.81%. Year to date, the index is up 4.09%.

Top Gainers and Losers 

Royal Exchange and Presco Plc were the best-performing stocks today. The two stocks gained 10%, closing at N0.33 and N66 respectively. Ikeja Hotel was next, appreciating by 9.70%, to close at N1.81.

On the flip side, MRS was the worst performing stock today. The stock shed 9.94% to close at N20.85. UAC of Nigeria shed 9.90% to close at N8.65. Academy Press rounds up the top three losers, dropping by 9.76% to close at N0.37.

Top Trades by Volume

Diamond Bank was the most actively traded stock today. 141 million shares valued at N339 million were traded in 113 deals. Transcorp was next with 117 million shares valued at N198 million traded in 463 deals. AXA Mansard rounds up the top three most actively traded with 94.5 million shares valued at N193 million traded in 14 deals.
