Fidelity Bank Plc has notified The Nigerian Stock Exchange and the investing public, of the appointments of new Executive Directors into the bank’s Board.
While disclosing the appointments in a notice, the lender made known that the appointments are subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The following persons got the bank’s appointment:
- Gbolahan Joshua -Executive Director – Chief Operations & Information Officer
- Obaro Odeghe -Executive Director, Corporate Banking
- Hassan Imam -Executive Director, North Directorate
A glimpse at the directors’ profiles
1. Gbolahan Joshua attended Kings College in Lagos. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant. He has attended a number of executive and banking-specific programmes in leading educational and professional institutions including: Harvard, IMD, and Euromoney.
Joshua has 20 years of comprehensive experience across various areas of Assurance and Banking including, Operations, Technology, Digital Banking, Strategy, Business Transformation, Finance, Treasury, Mergers and Acquisitions.
He will be responsible for overseeing Fidelity Bank‘s Operations, Technology, Digital Banking, Investor Relations, Strategy, and Business Transformation.
2. Obaro Odeghe attended Edo College in Benin. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture as well as an MBA. He has attended a number of executive and banking-specific programmes in leading educational and professional institutions including: Harvard, Wharton, and Kelloggs.
Odeghe has 24 years of comprehensive experience across various areas of Banking including: Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, SMEs, Consumer Banking, Institutional Banking, Trade Finance and Operations.
He will be responsible for Fidelity Bank‘s Corporate Banking business covering the Energy, Power, Manufacturing, Telecoms, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Construction and Real Estate sectors.
3. Hassan Imam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, two regular Masters’ Degrees, and an MBA. He has attended a number of executive and banking-specific programmes in leading educational and professional institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton.
He has 25 years of comprehensive experience across various areas of Banking including; Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking, SMEs, Institutional Banking, Trade Finance, Operations, Treasury and Risk Management.
He will be responsible for Fidelity Bank‘s Commercial, SME, Consumer and Public Sector business in the North Directorate comprising 18 states and Abuja.
