Farmers across Osun, Ekiti, and Ondo States have lamented over a growing shortage of unskilled labour and the rising cost of farm inputs, just as preparations for the rainy season farming intensify. 
The U.S. Embassy in Nigeria said that the U.S. government has supported more than 5 million Nigerian farmers since 2019 through its Agency for International Development (USAID).  
The federal government has partnered with Mastercard to support 1million farmers across the continent through financial inclusion and contactless payment.

Stakeholders in the Agric sector now have till November 16th, 2018 to take advantage of grant money (to the tune of $1.5 million) which has been made available by the Agriculture Fast Track Fund, AFTF.
