The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced that the planned payment for re-validation of accreditation is a one-time fee and would not be done annually.

The CAC disclosed this in a social media statement on Friday and added that the deadline has been extended to June.

“Dear esteemed Customers, please be informed that payment for re-validation of accreditation is one-off. And accreditation is not renewable annually.

What you should know

  • Recall Nairametrics reported earlier this year that CAC had given registered companies until April 1 to revalidate their various information and accounts or face sanctions.
  • Registrar General, Garba Abubakar also warned that “any account not revalidated by the deadline will cease to have an effect by 1st of April, 2020 until the Customer comes forward to re-validate.”

May we have online arrangement for the re-validation because CAC offices are not easily accessible to many.

Virtual process with clear instructions and procedure will help a lot. Many people spent fortunes and passed through hell to get companies and enterprises registered and it will be unfair to make things more difficult at this critical period by invalidating their registrations just on the account of in-activities.

You guys should do more to make Nigeria a better place to do business,as government under PMB is trying to do. I have being in the process of correcting a proprietor’s name in your Ibadan office for more than 2 weeks now, even after meeting all your conditions, making all payment, I was told you’re “not working” & there’s nothing to do for now. It’s painful & horrible, pls make Nigeria work!

Sir, I was a CAC accredited Agent in 2004, but I couldn’t revalidate due to illness. David Alewu NBA/IND/CAC 8259 as my registration no. I’m a lawyer practicing in Calabar and want to revalidate my membership/Agent of the CAC. What should I do now and the procedures to be revalidated.
    Thank you and God bless.
