Bulls gather momentum ASI up 0.48%, gained N55.3 billion

Nigerian local bourse closed Friday positive as the All Share Index firm up further by +0.48 % to close at 21,861.78 points. Investors gained N55.3 billion as market capitalization closed by the same margin to N11.393 trillion, bringing YTD performance to -19.20%.

Market upturn mirrored the Nigerian All-Share Index, as total volumes and values traded increased by 46.03% and 77.95% respectively, to a total of 251.41 million shares valued at N3.357 billion, in 3,968 deals.

Guaranty Trust Bank was the most traded stock by volume at 54.77 million units, followed by Zenith Bank with 42.86 million units of trades, as market breadth closed positive with 24 gainers against 7 losers.

Top gainers

CAP up 7.91% to close N23.20, ZENITHBANK N12.1 up 4.13% to close N12.60, GUARANTY up 2.50% to close N18.45, INTBREW up  8.00% to close at N5.40, GLAXOSMITH up10.00% to close N3.85.

Top losers

NB down 4.85% to close at N25.50, CILEASING N6.85 down 9.49% to close N6.20, AFRIPRUD down 10.00% to close at N3.42, OANDO down 4.65% to close N2.05, FBNH down 2.41% close N4.05.
