Standard Chartered Bank has launched a cashback reward campaign running till the end of March 2020. The campaign will give a N3000 cashback reward to customers, who open and fund new savings account at any of the branches of Standard Chartered bank.

This, according to the bank, is the only one way of welcoming new customers onboard to an exciting banking experience.

Beyond the cashback reward, the customers will get to enjoy free and unique banking services such as the free card withdrawals, free debit card insurance, free SMS alerts and monthly statements and instant notification for all transactions.

The SC mobile banking app 2.0 launched in December 2019, will also give customers a platform to carry out over 75 kinds of transactions from their mobile device.

In this era, where banking has moved from the banking halls to the banking apps, this app presents convenient and easy banking at no cost to the customers.

New customers can even download the app and use it to open an instant account without having to visit the banking hall.

As soon as the app is downloaded, the customer taps “Open Account”, provides the required contact details which include the 11-digit Bank Verification Number. The customer also has to provide the 6-digits OTP sent to the mobile number, and upload a valid identity card and signature.

After reviewing and accepting the Terms and Conditions, the request is submitted. The account will then be created and the details sent to the email address and mobile number.

Much later, you could choose to upgrade the instant account to Instant Plus Account, Regular Savings Account or Salary Account, to enjoy higher transaction limits.

With the upgraded account, you can also request for a free card and get it delivered to anywhere in Nigeria at no cost.

The SC mobile app 2.0 also allows you to pay for goods and services using the QR Pay by scanning QR barcodes at selected merchant stores and websites. Customers also get to enjoy speedy fund transfers in 30 seconds, quick access to loans and credit services, improved dealer offerings for payment of utility bills, international fund transfers, and cardless cash withdrawals from Standard Chartered Bank, Nigeria ATMs.

And it’s not all about saving and spending on SC mobile app. The investment tab allows customers to buy and sell global mutual funds, investing-on-the-go, anytime, anywhere. You can also fix deposits using the app, and receive alerts when the deposits mature.

Where else has banking been this exhilarating?
