The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson has tested positive to Coronavirus. Johnson made this known in a post on Twitter.
Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.

He tweeted, “Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.

In the video posted on Twitter, the Prime Minister made known that he had developed “temperature and a persistent cough,” and that he would self-isolate at home. He, however, said he would continue to lead the national fight back against the virus through the internet.
Johnson further thanked the NHS and everybody working to keep the country going through the pandemic while emphasizing that staying at home is crucial to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
