All participants at the recently concluded African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) may have been exposed to the Coronavirus infection.
This information was announced by the Lagos State Ministry of Health in a tweet tagged the “COVID-19 Lagos Alert”.
The tweet reads, “I hereby notify you that all participants at the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on14th March at @EkoHotels may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and are most likely to have been exposed to #COVID19 Infection.”

The ministry advised all attendees as well as people who may have come in contact with them since then to go into self-isolation for the next 14 days to prevent further contacts.
They are to also call the tollfree lines if they notice any of the coronavirus related symptoms, and practice social distancing.

Attendees at the said event are therefo advised to:

What this means: The Minister of Health may have been right in his briefing on Monday, where he said there were more cases of coronavirus still at large.
Apart from participants at the event, staffs of the Eko hotels, stewards and drivers who attended to the participants may also need to self-isolate immediately.
