Eterna Plc appoints new Executive Director

The Board of Eterna Plc has notified the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) of the appointment of Nnamdi Obiagwu as the Company’s Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer.

According to the statement released by the company and signed by Bunmi Agagu, the Company’s Secretary, Obiagwu’s appointment became effective on January 10, 2020.

Obiagwu has several years of experience that span across IT, Sales, Business Development, Financial & Business Reporting, Data Analytics, Distributor Network Development, Fuels Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Oil & Gas Consulting, Financial Advisory, and Marine Vessel Management.

Obiagwu’s brief profile: Obiagwu has worked across several industries and countries during his career whilst also attending numerous local and international training including INSEAD Kenan-Flager Business School, Enterprise Leadership Program, Achieve Global Professional Selling skills and Acclivus Professional Negotiation.

He is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Owerri.

The new Eterna CEO started his career in Computer Networking but soon moved to Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc as a Sales Engineer. He rose through the ranks to become Logistics/ Fleet Manager having served in the Lubricants, Fuels, Supply Chain, Logistics and Planning areas of the business in Nigeria and Belgium before leaving to gather more experience in consulting, business advisory and Marine. He joined Eterna Plc in 2017 as the then General Manager of Lubes.

Obiagwu has served on the Boards of several private companies in the past.

About Eterna Plc: Eterna Plc distributes and markets petroleum products and fuels. The Company further offers engineering and technical services for companies in the oil industry.

In plain terms, Eterna manufactures and sells a range of lubricants and petroleum products as well as supplies imported fuels for the retail, industrial, agricultural, automotive, marine, and energy sectors in Nigeria. The Trading division bulk imports and sells premium motor fuels and automotive gas oil, dual-purpose kerosene, base oils, bitumen. low pour fuel oil and crude oil.

CUTIX Plc has notified customers, the public, and other relevant stakeholders of changes in its Board room.

The announcement is sequel to the decision reached at the 37th Annual General Meeting held by the company on the 27th of November, 2020 which ratified the retirement of Barr. (Mrs). Oge Maduka and Mr. Nnamdi Ike from the Board of the company and the appointment of Mr. Ike Okonkwo, Mrs. Ijeoma Ezeasor, and Mr. Ariyo Olushekun as non-Executive Directors, effective November 27, 2020.

This is according to a recent disclosure by the firm, sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, and seen by Nairametrics.

In addition, the firm also announced the appointment of Mrs. Ngozi Monica Okonkwo & Co as the new external auditor of the firm, replacing ANOC Professional service who resigned during the recently concluded AGM, after serving for more than nine years.

  • Mr. Ike Okonkwo: Mr. Ike Okonkwo is a project and property, management expert. Prior to joining CUTIX Plc, he had a brief stint with firms like Adtech Limited, Keywest Property Limited, Ponsel Nigeria Limited, among others. In terms of education, he is a graduate of IMT Enugu and Federal Polytechnic Oko, where he obtained HND in marketing and accountancy respectively. He is an associate member of both the Nigerian Marketing Association and the Nigerian Institute of Management.
  • Mrs. Ijeoma Ezeasor is a Policy Analyst with technical competence in industrial and economic policy. The Board of Directors of May and Baker Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Patrick Ajah, as the Managing Director of the company, with effect from 1st January 2021.

This disclosure was made in a notification issued and signed by the Company’s Secretary, Mrs. Adetoun Abiru.

According to the notification, Mr. Ajah would be replacing Mr. Nnamdi Nathan Okafor as the Executive Director and Managing Director of the Company, with effect from 1st December 2020.
