The Nigerian Stock Exchange closed in the red for the second day this week. The All Share Index ended today’s trading session at 32,568.66 basis points, down 0.14%. Year to date, the index is up 3.62% 

Top Gainers and Losers 

Ikeja Hotel was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 9.94% to close at N1.99. ABC Transport was next appreciating by 8.33% to close at N0.52. UAC Properties rounds up the top three gainers for the day, adding 8.33% to close at N1.82. 

On the flip side, Linkage Assurance was the worst performing stock today. The stock declined by 10% to close at N0.63. International Breweries fell by 9.48% to close at N26.25. Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals rounds up the top three losers for today, shedding 8.57% to close at N0.64.  

Top Trades by Volume 

Transcorp Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 24.7 million shares valued at N36.1 million were traded in 202 deals. FCMB was next with 19.2 million shares valued at N43.8 million were traded in 123 deals. Guaranty Trust Bank rounds up the top three most actively traded stock today. 16.5 million shares valued at N630 million were traded in 280 deals
