The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended today’s trading session and the trading week on a positive note. The All Share Index closed at 31,529.92, up 0.31% today.

The index appreciated by 2.92% this week and is up 0.32% year to date.

Top Gainers and Losers

NEM Insurance was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 8.70% to close at N2.50. NPF Microfinance Bank was next appreciating by 8.39% to close at N1.55. University Press Limited rounds up the top three gainers adding 8.33% to close at N2.34.

On the flip side, Interlinked Technologies was the worst performing stock today. The stock shed 10% to close at N3.24. E Tranzact International shed 9.85% to close at N2.93. Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc rounds up the top three losers for the day, declining by 6.90% to close at N0.27.

Top Trades by Volume

Zenith Bank was the most actively traded stock today. 147 million shares valued at N3.6 billion were traded in 662 deals. UBA was next with 142 million shares valued at N1 billion traded in 512 deals. Guaranty Trust Bank which was the most actively traded stock yesterday rounds up the top three most actively traded.
