CWG Plc has made major changes to its Board of Directors

CWG Plc, today, announced that it has made some changes to the composition of its Board of Directors following the appointment of a new Chairman, an Executive Director, and a Non-Executive Director.
Information about the appointments was contained in a release issued to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE.
The newly-appointed Members of Board are Mr Philip Obioha, Mr Adewale Adeyipo, and Mr Wale Agbeyangi. Note that even though this announcement is just being made, the appointments were made between late last year and earlier this year.

Mr Philip Obioha’s appointment took place on January 19, 2018, during a meeting held to find a replacement for Mr Abiodun Fawunmi whose tenure as Chairman of CWG successfully came to an end.
Until his latest appointment, Obioha was and continues to be a Non-Executive Director at CWG. He was also CWG’s former Director of Operations and Chief Operating Officer. He is said to have over twenty-years years professional experience in the Information Technology industry.
He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University in the United States of America and also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the International Graduate School of Management (IESE) in Spain.
Adewale Adeyipo: Brief Biography
Mr Odeyipo was appointed as an Executive Director at CWG Plc on June 15, 2018. Prior to his appointment, he served in different capacities at CWG Plc; including heading the business development unit of the telecommunications arm of the company.
He graduated from the University of Ilorin with a BSc. in Computer Science and is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School.
Wale Agbeyangi’s profile
Mr Wale holds a law degree from the University of Lagos and has gone through the legal certification training of the Nigerian Law School. He also holds an MBA from the Business School of Netherlands.
Professionally, he is an experienced investment banker, an entrepreneur, and an Authorised Dealer of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (FCS).
Besides his appointment as a Non-Executive Director at CWG Plc, Mr Wale is the Managing Director of Cordros Capital.
