The management of EKOCORP Plc has given reasons for the delay in filing its Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2017
In a letter of notice sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, the company noted that the delay was as a result of some fundamental changes which included the recent change in its External Auditor necessitated by the expiration of the previous auditor.
A situation which affected some process changes in the Accounts Department needed to achieve Financial Reporting in the corporation.
The company also announced that it had contracted through a consulting firm, an interim Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer pending the conclusion of contract discussions with the permanent executives for the positions.
The company however assured that the audited financial statements will be filed on or before 30th April 2018.
