A simple template for calculating right issues
Beginning from this week, Nairametrics will be sending its esteemed readers a financial excel template weekly, that can use for simple calculations. Our templates will be simple and easy to use.
Our first template is a simple template for calculating Rights Issues. In building this simple template, we have sought to respond to some of the questions we have obtained from our readers. For example;
- How do I determine the theoretical ex-price (selling price of the stock after rights issue)?
- How much share will I own after the rights issue?
- If I am unable to pick up part or any of my rights, how much of a dilution will I suffer?
- If I decide to partake in a rights issue how much will it cost me?
- How do I determine my rights especially with terminologies such as 1 for 1, 2 for 10, 5 for 7 etc.?
