GlaxoSmithkline Pre-tax Profit Down 57% To N1.1 billion, Proposes Dividend of 30 Kobo

2014 Results: GSK Nigeria reports 36% drop in profits

Glaxosmithkline released its financial results for the year ended 31st December 2015. The results showed that revenue increased marginally by 0.37% from N30.5 billion in 2014 to N30.6 billion in 2015, while gross profit declined by 4.4% from N10.8 billion to N10.3 billion in 2015.

Pre-tax profits declined by 57% from N2.7 billion in 2014 to N1.1 billion in 2015, while profit after tax also declined by 47% from N1.8 billion to N965 million.

Glaxosmithkline also proposed a dividend of N0.30 kobo per share (60% less than the N0.75 dividend paid in 2014), and the company also announced that the closure date is 25th May 2016, while the Annual General Meeting will hold on the 23rd of June 2016. The payment date will be on the 24th of June 2016.
