President Bola Tinubu and President Teodoro Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea have signed an agreement to develop a gas pipeline across the Gulf of Guinea.  
The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), has stated that the Judicial Office Holders’ Salaries and Allowances Bill, 2024, passed into law by President Bola Tinubu, will help the justice system work in the interest of Nigerians. 
President Tinubu is set to leave the presidential villa Abuja for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, on a three-day official visit to honour the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.   
President Bola Tinubu has formally sworn in Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of Civil Service of the Federation, marking a pivotal leadership change within Nigeria's civil service.  
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged President Bola Tinubu to “direct the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Mr Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and appropriate anti-corruption agencies to promptly and thoroughly investigate the spending of $1.5 billion World Bank loan obtained by the 36 states and Abuja for poverty reduction and social protection across the states.”
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka Anite has stated that the economic sabotage from the ongoing EndBadGovernance protest is worth N500 billion.  
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has countered claims by President Tinubu that the federal government granted N570 billion to the 36 states of the federation, stating that the information is not completely accurate.  
The federal government has halted the plan to the sell subsidized 50-kilogram (kg) bags of rice to public servants priced at N40,000.  
President Bola Tinubu will address the nation on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 am.
