Pope Francis who died yesterday morning, April 21, at the age of 88 was a trailblazer in more than one respect and definitely one of the most influential figures of the 21st century: the first priest of the Jesuit Order (Society of Jesus) to occupy the Throne of St. Peter as sovereign of the Vatican State, Bishop of Rome, and leader of all Catholics worldwide (1.4 billion of them across the world).
Pope Francis, the first Jesuit and first Latin American to lead the Roman Catholic Church, died early Monday at the Vatican at age 88. 
Pope Francis has encouraged Catholic faithfuls to get vaccinated, as he announces that he is about to receive a Covid-19 vaccine.
The Pope has called for prayers for Nigeria following recent unrest that has occurred in several parts of the country.
