President Buhari has approved the appointment of George Abang Ekpungu as Secretary of the EFCC.
The EFCC has directed all bankers to declare their assets, latest by June 1, 2021.
It is hoped that 40-year-old Bawa will be a breath of fresh air to the agency which has over time, lost its credibility.
During his screening, Bawa promised the Senate that he will lead the agency by example.
President Buhari has asked the Senate to confirm Mr Bawa as the substantive Chairman of the EFCC.
