Vale Finance Limited has recorded 10,000% growth in customer placements, rising from ₦100 million in 2022 to more than ₦10 billion within four years, while lifetime transaction value nears ₦ 1 trillion as the company continues to scale its digital financial services platform ahead of its fifth anniversary.

The growth in placements has been accompanied by a significant increase in activity across the platform. Annual transaction value rose from ₦ 13 billion+ in 2022 to over ₦200 billion as of Q3 2026, demonstrating the increasing scale of activity generated by customers and businesses using Vale.

Vale achieved this growth through a disciplined approach to venture building without any venture capital funding in a market where some better-funded businesses have gone bankrupt.

Beyond the growth in placements and transaction activity, Vale has built a customer base of more than 150,000 users and disbursed about ₦100 billion in loans.

The company has also expanded its financial services offering across savings, investments, lending and business banking, broadening the ways customers and businesses can manage, grow and access finance through the platform.

The launch of its business banking platform further expanded Vale’s role in the economy, enabling the company to support SMEs and businesses with access to finance and other business-focused financial solutions.

Through its credit financing, including working capital, asset financing and LPO financing, Vale has funded businesses across supply chain, agribusiness, logistics, oil and gas, and energy, providing capital to support day-to-day operations, business expansion and economic activity across critical sectors.

This growth reflects a broader evolution in Vale’s business. What began as a savings and investment app is developing into a more comprehensive digital financial institution serving individuals and businesses across multiple financial needs.

From daily-interest savings and investment products to credit and business banking solutions, the company has continued to expand its offering in response to changing customer needs.

Beyond attracting new users, Vale has seen customers and businesses carry out more financial activity across the platform, reflecting deeper engagement with its products and services.

With this increase in customer activity, Vale has continued to invest in the products, technology and operational capacity needed to support its growth. This has allowed the company to serve a growing customer base, manage higher transaction volumes and expand the range of financial services available on the platform.

Commenting on the milestone, Segun Ojo, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Vale, said: “When we look at the journey from ₦100 million to more than ₦10 billion, the number is significant, but what matters more is what has been built behind it. Every stage of our growth has required us to earn the confidence of our customers, solve real financial needs and continuously strengthen the institution.

“The scale of transaction activity is equally meaningful because it represents the financial activity of the customers and businesses we serve. We have been deliberate about improving our customer experience and value proposition by investing in our products, technology and infrastructure, and allowing customer adoption to guide our expansion.”

As Vale approaches its fifth anniversary, the company is entering its next phase of growth with an ambition to reach ₦200 billion in customer placements by the end of 2030. The next phase will focus on deepening customer adoption, expanding its financial services offering and continuing to invest in the technology and infrastructure required to serve customers at greater scale.

This milestone, alongside the significant growth in transaction activity, customer adoption and lending, represents an important point in Vale’s evolution. It provides a foundation for the company’s ambition to build a larger and more comprehensive digital financial institution, while continuing to create greater value for the customers and businesses it serves.
