Is this the best spot for a romantic dinner in Osapa London?
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Linkedin

Missed me? Lol I’m back!!!

So last Saturday after a busy day of house shopping and a visit to the spa, I finally visited a very chill place in Osapa London (WoodGreen Lagos). This is the newest spot in Osapa London and I had the opportunity to visit this spot for a full menu tasting. It will be officially open on Saturday the 18th December, 2021 and I promise you that it’ll be a beautiful event, so make sure to attend.

One of the things I love about this spot is that it’s in a residential area (Osapa London, Jakande, Lekki) and there are very few chill spots in Osapa. This has to be the most beautiful spot in the whole of Osapa London; I’ll tell you why I said so shortly.

As usual, I rank my restaurants based on the following: the ambience, the service, the food and the prices/cost. I will be explaining my experience based on these criteria, so sit back and enjoy.

1. The ambience: Immediately I entered WoodGreen, the first thing that caught my eyes were the lights, especially because it was nighttime. The lights were beautiful and warm, and the way they reflected on the greenery and the wooden finish made them even more beautiful. Another thing I love about this spot is that it is a one-stop chill place for people of all ages. It even has a football court and a swimming pool, just in case you live in Lekki and you are thinking of what to do to stay fit. It’s an outdoor spot but it also has an inner wine and cognac room just in case you want a bit of privacy. This spot has a playground area for children and word is there’s also going to be an ice cream and snack spot soon. You can have a classy date in the wine room or sit outside in the afternoon or at night and chill with your friends. You can also chill at the pool area, have a drink and have something delicious to eat while at it. I’ll rate the ambience a 9 out of 10, and trust me, this will be the best chill spot in Osapa Lekki for a long time.

2. The Service: The service was really good; the waiters and waitresses were very polite, I got my order really fast, the place was really clean and for an outdoor spot, there were no flies. I will rate the service an 8 out of 10, though I’ll like to see if the service gets better once business kick-starts fully.

3. The Food: You all know that this is my favourite part. As I mentioned earlier, I was there for a full menu tasting, so firstly, I love the fact that they invited people for menu tasting, this shows that they value their customers. I had a taste of quite a lot of things—mashed potatoes with lamb chops. The lamb chops were perfect, not too dry and well done and went very well with the mashed potatoes. I also had some Arrabiata pasta with tiger prawns and calamari, and as a big fan of calamari, I definitely loved this one.

The pasta had shredded cheese on it and it was the best combination. I had the beef kebab which was also good; it was perfectly spiced. For my drinks, as usual I had a cocktail (strawberry margarita), which went really well with my pasta. I was not able to taste everything because I’m on a diet, lol, but they also had jollof rice, fried rice, chicken wings, suya, fries and so many others. For dessert, I had red velvet cake and it was so moist and delicious, it melted into my mouth and it was not too sweet; it was just right. I’ll rate the food an 8 out of 10.

4. The prices: So I’ll describe the prices this way: it’s somewhere in between the prices at W bar and Circa Nonpareil. The most expensive meal on the menu is N30,000 which is a seafood platter and I believe it can serve 2 people. With N13,000 – N20,000 you can have a decent meal and a drink. They also serve burgers and pizzas so trust me, the menu is fully packed. Go there and thank me later.

In conclusion, I’ll rate this spot an 8 out of 10 just because it’s new and you need to visit it yourself. I will be there on Saturday so if you want to link up, send me a DM on IG, I will leave my details below and as usual, if you want to have a visual representation of WoodGreen Lagos, I will leave a link to a YouTube video below. Thank you for reading and please drop a comment below. Bye for now.
