The ex-Governor of Nasarawa State and current senator, Tanko Al-Makura, and his wife, Mairo, have been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged corruption charges.
This was disclosed by the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday evening after speaking with EFCC officials.
The report stated that the couple “were being grilled by operatives of the anti-graft agency at its headquarters in Abuja” without disclosing the nature of corruption both have been allegedly accused of.

Tank Al-Makura Nasarawa State Governor between 2011 and 2019 before he was elected as Senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
