The Nigerian Army says that it is highly committed to defending Nigeria’s democracy at all costs and has warned “trouble makers to desist from such acts” as the #EndSARS protests continue.

The Army disclosed this in a statement signed by Colonel Sagir Musa, Acting Director, Army Public Relations, and published in the early hours of Thursday. The Army says it remains resolute to defend the peace and stability of the Nation.

“The Nigerian Army (NA) wishes to reassure law-abiding citizens that it is highly committed to the sustenance of peace, security and defence of democracy in Nigeria.”

They added that the army’s loyalty and commitment are tied unalloyed to the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari, and the Constitution of the Country.

The Army warned that all elements and trouble makers should desist from such acts and its loyalty lies in defending Nigeria.

“The NA hereby warns all subversive elements and trouble makers to desist from such acts, as it remains highly committed to defending the country and her democracy at all cost,” it warned.

It stated further; “The NA is ready to fully support the civil authority in whatever capacity to maintain law and order, and deal with any situation decisively. All officers and men are directed never to be distracted by anti-democratic forces and agents of disunity.”

FEM to the Nigerian Army. You can’t even defend your men from massive attacks by the Boko terrors.

This Army Chief is a clown, they’re yet to take control of the situation with the Boko Haram Insurgency and he’s here trying to meddle with Civil matter.
This is a case of misplaced priority. Oga General go face your war on Terrorism and leave Civil matter for the Police.
