FG to announce next phase of eased lockdown tomorrow

The Federal Government will announce the next phase of the easing of lockdown in the country on Tuesday, June 30, 2020. The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha after he led some members of the task force in a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, June 29, 2020.

This was disclosed in a tweet post by the aide to President Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmadu, on his official twitter handle.

In the tweet post, Bashir Ahmad said, ‘’Today is the last day of the Nigeria’s phase 2 of the eased lockdown, members of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefed and submitted the recommendations to the President for approval, the next lines of action will be announced tomorrow, SGF Boss Mustapha discloses.”

Boss Mustapha had disclosed that the Federal Government is considering implementing lockdown in 18 out of the 774 local governments where at least 60% of the total number of confirmed cases across the country are recorded. He told newsmen that the Lockdown in predominantly these 18 local governments will enable state authorities to embark on aggressive testing of residents.

The PTF Chairman also cited the prevalence of the disease among the younger generation as the reason for the low death rate in Nigeria. He disclosed the reason while also speaking to State House Correspondents.

According to Mustapha, about 80% of the infected persons were between the 31 years to 40 years age bracket, active demography, which he noted that even when they have the infection, they are able to recover from it because of their level of energy.

    Please the president should at least help out with some money for the the most poorest citizens who can not feed themselves without their daily hustling,if the upper hands will assist Mr President in providing to the less privileged one’s am very sure they can practice the seats at home order to stay home in other to stop these deadly disease (Corona virus) thank you as you look into this.
