Nigeria’s stock market closed today on a negative note, as the All Share index dropped slightly by 0.09% to close at 23,871.33 points as against +0.77% appreciation recorded on Thursday’s trading session. Market capitalization stands at N12.44 trillion, while its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at -11.07%.
- Market turnover closed positive with volume moving up by +21.18%, as against a +14.76% uptick recorded in the previous session.
- GUARANTY, UACN and ACCESS were the most active to boost market participants by trading volume. GUARANTY and DANGCEM topped market value list.
- STANBIC led the list of active stocks that recorded impressive volume surge at the end of Friday’s trading session.
- Market breadth closed positive with STANBIC leading 18 gainers, as against 13 losers topped by CILEASING at the end of today’s session; an improved performance when compared with previous outlook.

CILEASING down 9.80% to close at N4.6; GUINNESS down 1.69% to close at N17.5; DANGCEM down 1.71% to close at N143.5; WAPCO down 0.93% to close at N10.7; and MTNN down 0.45% to close at N109.5.
