UBA, Zenith, First Bank lead actively traded stocks on Friday

United Bank of Africa Plc, Zenith Bank, FBNH, Access Bank made the most actively traded stocks chart on Friday.

UBA plc was the most actively traded stock today as it traded 42.59 million shares valued at N285.18 million across 197 deals. Zenith bank followed with trades in 13.74 million shares at N256.94 million across 258 deals.

Union Diagnostic traded 11.84 million shares at N2.6 million across 5 deals as First bank holdings traded 8.52 million shares valued at N55.36 million across 210 deals while Access bank rounded off the list with trades in 8.5 million shares valued at N79.57 million across 172 deals.

Meanwhile, the bourse recorded 2,773 deals of 155.35 million traded shares valued at N1.43 billion.

The equity market capitalisation is at N12.81 trillion having dipped by 0.13%. The All share index closed at 26,536.21 index points.

 

Top gainers

A.G Leventis led the equity gainers chart having gained 8.33% to close at N0.39 followed by Cornerstone insurance plc, which gained 6.45% to close at N0.66. Jaiz bank gained 6.35% to close at N0.67. Ecobank gained 5.34% to close at N6.9 while PZ rounded off the list with 5% gain to close at N5.25.

Top losers

Glaxo smith was the highest loser on the bourse, having shed 9.48% of its share value to close at N5.25 followed by Live stock feeds plc, which lost 5.88% to close at N0.48 and Oando lost 4.74% to close at N3.62.

Caverton lost 3.92% to close at N2.45 while Royal Exchange plc shed 3.7% to close at N0.26.
