Why this matters: The app makes it more convenient for riders to book, to be picked and drop off across locations. The new PlentyWaka app basically improves the user experience.

Details: Other major improvements in this app include the optimized routing system, a better user navigation system and a referral system to introduce new users and earn points in the WakaPurse.

Another pertinent feature to note is that Plentywaka users can now perform group bookings with its new multi-rider feature.

Speaking during the launch, the Co-Founder, Plentywaka, Onyeka Akumah, explained that the app will be open to all as it created opportunities for partners with vehicles that can move more than 6 people at a time like Toyota Sienna’s, 14-seater buses, and coaster buses, among others. owners of such vehicles can also sign up as Plentywaka Partners.

What this means: The move by PlentyWaka will no doubt create an avenue for young people to get either full-time jobs or side hustles by working as drivers or partners for the company.

He said, “When they sign up, they can list their vehicles on the platform and earn decent revenue as riders commute.”

What you should know: Plentywaka was launched on 16th September 2019 and kicked off operations on its pilot route along Ajah-CMS-Ajah axis. It is targeted at providing its riders with convenient, safe and comfortable bus rides at pocket-friendly rates. The new and improved app is already available for download on the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
