Again, NSE’s spokeperson, Orojimi wins double 

The Head, Corporate Communications, Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Olumide Orojimi, has won another laurel. This time, he was declared the winner of the “CSR Practitioner of The year” at the 13th edition of The Sustainability, Enterprise & Responsibility Awards (SERAS) held at Oriental Hotel.

The Presiding Judge, Deborah Leipziger, explained that the award was keenly contested for by the nominees, who were all qualified to be awardees. She said, “Never have i had this level of difficulty in been able to decide between options.” 

The NSE’s spokesperson also earned the Industry Honours alongside Bekeme Masade, Chief Executive Officer, CSR -In- Action.

The SERAS Awards is adjudged the Gold Standard recognition in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability in Africa.

On November 13, 2019, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) headquartered in Amsterdam announced Orojimi’s election into its Stakeholder Council with a tenor of three years commencing January 1, 2020.

GRI has championed sustainability reporting since the late 1990s, moving it from a niche practice to a discipline embraced today by an increasing number of organizations.

The election was followed by another recognition, this time in the West African city of Accra, Ghana where he clinched the Corporate Communications Professional of the Year (Nigeria) Award at the 9th edition of the Marketing World Awards.

In 2018, he had won the Corporate Affairs Personality of The Year from same MWA. His employer, NSE won the Best CSR Initiative award for the promotion of sustainability reporting in Nigeria at MWA 2019.

Nairametrics previously reported when Orojimi got elected into the Stakeholder Council of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Amsterdam, Netherlands, for a three-year term, commencing January 1, 2020. The election announcement was made via a press release posted on the GRI website announcing departing and joining new members of its various governance bodies.
