Top Gainers: AIICO Insurance Plc was the best-performing stock today. The stock gained 9.38% to close at N0.70. Conoil Plc also gained 6.33% to close at N17.65. LASACO Assurance Plc gained 5.88% to close at N0.36. Honeywell Flour Mill Plc gained 5.26% to close at N1. Eterna Plc rounded off the top five gainers for today. The stock gained 1.85% to close at N2.75.
Top Losers: On the flip side, Red Star Express Plc was the worst-performing stock, declining by 9.85% to close at N4.76. Continental Reinsurance Plc fell by 9.68% to close at N1.18. Jaiz Bank Plc fell by 9.52% to close at N0.38. Japaul Oil & Maritime Services Plc fell by 9.09% to close at N0.20. Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc rounded off the top five losers for the day. The stock shed 8.33% to close at N0.22.

Top Trades by Volume: FBN Holdings Plc was the most actively-traded stock today. 30.9 million shares valued at N162 million were traded in 197 deals. Universal Insurance Plc has released its financial statements for the period ended. Gross Premium Written increased from N346 million in 2018 to N650 million in 2019. Profit before Tax dipped from N131 million in 2018 to N61 million in 2019. Profit after Tax also dipped from N118 million in 2018 to N47 million in 2019.
