Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc recorded a generally unimpressive financial performance in the first half of 2019, according to its consolidated Q2 financial statements.
Revenue: This declined from N84 billion in Q2 2018 to N80.4 billion in Q2 2019, marking a 4.4% decrease.
Profit Before Tax: Dangote Sugar’s PBT for the period under review also decreased by 14.4% to N19.9 billion, down from N17 billion that was recorded in Q2 2018.
Profit After Tax: Similarly, there was a decline in the company’s Profit After Tax. This stood at N10.9 billion in Q2 2019 as against N12.7 billion during the comparable period in last year. This, therefore, indicates a 13.7% decrease.
Earnings Per Share: Basic earnings per share in Q2 2019 was N0.92 as against N1.07 in Q2 2018. In the same vein, diluted earnings per share in Q2 was N0.92 as against N1.07.
