NSE ends Friday’s trading on a positive note

The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended Friday’s trading session in positive territory. The All Share Index closed at 30,046.70 basis points, up 0.06%.

Year to date, the index is down 4.40%.

Top Gainers and Losers

Forte Oil Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 9.91% to close at N29.4. Unity Bank Plc gained 9.38% to close at N0.70. Royal Exchange Plc gained 9.09% to close at N0.24. Courtville Business Solutions Plc gained 5.00% to close at N0.21. Wema Bank Plc rounds up the top five gainers for today. The stock gained 3.33% to close at N0.62.

On the flip side, Thomas Wyatt Plc was the worst performing stock, declining by 8.33% to close at N0.33. International Breweries fell by 7.25% to close at N18.55. Jaiz Bank Plc fell by 4.17% to close at N0.46. Fidelity Bank Plc fell by 2.89% to close at N1.68. Africa Prudential Plc rounds up the top five losers for the day. The stock shed 2.58% to close at N3.40.

Top Trades by Volume

Guaranty Trust Bank Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 53.7 million shares valued at N1.7 billion were traded in 201 deals. Access Bank Plc was next with 16 million shares valued at N100 million traded in 165 deals. United Bank of Africa Plc was next with 7.7 million shares valued at N47.4 million traded in 169 deals. Fidelity Bank Plc was next with 7 million shares valued at N12.2 million traded in 74 deals. Zenith Bank Plc rounds up the top five most actively traded stocks today with 6.4 million shares valued at N129 million traded in 233 deals.
