Access Bank becomes top traded again this week.


The Nigerian Stock Exchange ended Wednesday’s trading session in positive territory. The All Share Index closed at 29.347.62 basis points, up 0.50%.

Year to date, the index is down 6.63%.

Top Gainers and Losers

NEM Insurance Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 10% to close at N2.20. Niger Insurance Plc also gained 10% to close at N0.22. Fidelity Bank Plc rounds up the top three gainers for today. The stock gained 8.70% to close at N2.00.

On the flip side, Ikeja Hotel Plc was the worst performing stock today. The stock declined by 9.76% to close at N1.85. ABC Transport Plc fell by 8.33% to close at 0.44. Eterna Plc rounds up the top three losers for the day. The stock shed 8.05% to close at N4.00.

Lasaco Assurance Plc was the most actively traded stock today. 42 million shares valued at N12 million were traded in 9 deals. Access Bank Plc was next with 21 million shares valued at 218 million traded in 195 deals. FBN Holdings Plc rounds up the top three most actively traded stocks today. 17 million shares valued at N131 million were traded in 251 deals.
