The management and board of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc have released a notice announcing the appointment of Adekunle Adedeji as a new executive director on its board of directors.
Adedeji, whose appointment took effect from Friday, February 22, 2019, is also the bank’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The bank also recently appointed a new non-executive director in January and made series of appointments in November last year to its management.
Adekunle Adedeji’s profile
Adekunle Adedeji who is currently the Group’s Chief Financial Officer has over 23 year’s post-graduation experience, with over 20 years in the banking sector. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, an MBA in Finance and has attended several executive development programmes.
Prior to his appointment in Stanbic Ghana in May 2013, where he served as Chief Financial Officer, Adedeji had previously served as Financial Controller for Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, the Company’s largest subsidiary.
Before joining Stanbic IBTC, Mr Adedeji had also previously served as Financial Controller and Regional Financial Controller for Ecobank Liberia and Nigeria respectively. Prior to entering the banking industry, Mr Adedeji worked with Ernst & Young for 3 years with his experience covering audit, taxation and other consultancy services.
Mr Adedeji is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria, a Charter holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute; an Associate of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) as well as the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
Stanbic IBTC is currently trading at N48.50 in today’s trading session on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
