Seplat hits 52 week low as All Share Index drops

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) began this week’s trading session on a negative note. The All Share Index closed at 30,732.72 basis points, down 0.88% Year to date, the index is down 2.22%

Top Trades by Volume

The three most actively traded stock came from the banking space, as investors position ahead of the release of results. Diamond Bank led the pack with 239 million shares valued at N497 million traded in 173 deals. Guaranty Trust Bank was next with 119 million shares valued at N3.7 billion traded in 603 deals. Zenith Bank rounds up the top three most actively traded with 26.1 million shares valued at N563 million traded in 464 deals.

Top Gainers and Losers

Linkage Assurance Plc was the best performing stock today. The stock gained 8.93% to close at N0.61. ABC Transport appreciated by 7.41% to close at N0.29. Cement Company of Northern Nigeria added 7.17% to close at N26.90.

Etranzact was the worst performing stock today. The stock shed 8.71% to close at N3.25. Seplat shed 7.99% to close at a 52 week low of N530. Resort Savings and Loans declined by 7.69% to close at N0.24
