Notore Chemical Industries Plc has announced the appointment of Ohis Ohiwerei as Group Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 17 2018. Femi Agbaje, the current Chief Financial Officer, will retire effective September 17, 2018, but remain on the board as a Non Executive director.
Profile of Ohis Ohiwerei
Mr. Ohiosimuan Ohiwerei has over twenty three years experience in the banking industry. He worked in Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (GTBank), from 1992 till 1998. He then joined Ecobank Plc in 1998 as Country Treasurer for Nigeria and a member of the regional treasury audit team till 2000 when he joined Diamond Bank Plc.
He was appointed Chief Financial Officer until 2005, and then became Executive Director (Corporate Banking) till his retirement in 2010. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ADIC Insurance Plc while at Diamond Bank.
He then moved to Guaranty Trusy Bank as an Executive Director in October 2011, where he was responsible for Commercial Banking, Lagos Division and Public Sector of the Bank for four years, until he retired in October 2015.
He currently serves on the board of AXA Mansard Insurance Plc and Orange One Finance Limited as an Independent Director.
Ohiwerei holds a Bachelors degree in Engineering and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Benin.
Notore is currently trading at N61 in today’s session on the NSE, down 2.40%.
