Courteville Business Solutions Plc appoints new chairman

The Board of Directors of Courteville Business Solutions Plc have unanimously approved the appointment of Afam Edozie as the substantive Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.

Edozie succeeds Capt. M.O Salami (Rtd), who retired from the board with effect from June 29, 2018. Salami’s retirement had been approved at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company held on June 28, 2018.

About Edozie

Prior to his appointment as the company’s Chairman, Ezodie was appointed as a non-Executive Director of the company on June 2, 2008.

Edozie holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics from the University of London.

Edozie is an entrepreneur C-Suite leader who has developed his career from Brand Assistant/Manager at Procter & Gamble, to SMT/C-Suite level for Virgin Media, MTN Communications and FiCres Capital.

Edozie is currently the Managing Director of Grow Africa Equity Partners with an unrivaled track record of exponential business growth for startups and turnaround of struggling operations, spanning almost 30 years within Telecoms, FMCG and FinTech.

The newly appointed Chairman of Courteville is a Non-Executive Director in Swift Networks Limited and is trusted for his ability to develop highly successful business strategies, operating models, new sales channels, value propositions and integrated marketing/advertising strategies and campaigns that have achieved industry-leading brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

Recall that Courteville Business Solutions Plc announced that it will no longer be a Capital Market Operator. In a statement issued to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the company said the decision followed approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

According to the company’s latest Q1 2018 financial results, revenue declined by 7%; N308 million against N331 million in Q1 2017.

Profit before tax increased by 18%, standing at N23 million as against N20 million in Q1 2017.

The company’s share price is currently trading at N0.20 on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
