In a notice sent to the Nigerian Stock Exchange today, Diamond bank announced the appointment of Christopher Ubosi to its board as an independent non executive director. Approval for the appointment, was granted by the Central Bank of Nigeria on the 3rd of November 2017.
Christopher Ubosi has a B.Sc in Surveying from the University of Ife (now known as the Obafemi Awolowo University ) and an M.Sc in Surveying from the University of Lagos. Ubosi has over 30 years experience in the construction, telecommunications and broadcasting industries in Nigeria.
After working with the AIM Group ( owners of Cool FM and its sister stations) for 20 years, Ubosi set up Megalectrics Ltd in 2009. Megalectrics is the operator of popular radio station brands Beat FM, Classic FM, Lagos Talks with branches in Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Abuja and London, United Kingdom .He also serves as an Executive Director at Mtech Limited which he co-founded.
Chris is a member of APCON and the Institute of Directors (IOD), and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). He is also a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. He is married with kids.
