Guaranty Trust Bank has appointed Mr. Babtunde Soyoye as an independent non-executive director, a decision which has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria. His appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Andrew Alli who previously occupied the said position.
According to African Business Communities, Soyoye comes into the position with 24 years of experience, 21 of them in investment/financial advisory services. In addition, Soyoye is a co-founder and managing partner Helios Investment Partners LLP, an investment established to pursue alternative asset class investments in sub-Saharan Africa.
Soyoye had hitherto being a principal responsible for Telecoms and Media investment across Europe for TPG Capital, a senior member of the corporate strategy team at British Telecom and Manager of Business Development at Singapore Telecom International.
