Reports indicate that Mrs Margaret Emefiele, wife of Central Bank of Nigeria ( CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele who was kidnapped some 24 hours earlier, has been released by her abductors.
ThisDay reports that the family credited her release to ‘the gallantry of the Armed Forces, Police and Security Forces”. She was releasedin Ugoneki near Benin City and is currently recuperating in Government House, Asaba.
THe story was initially hushed due to the sensitive nature of the negotiations for her release yesterday.
