Governor Arthur Okowa of Delta State has beefed up plans for the completion of Ughelli-Asaba Road dualisation project.
This disclosure was made by Sunny Onuesoke while addressing newsmen during an inspection tour of the project. e said despite scarcity of funds facing the government, the contractor handling the section ‘ A’ part of the road has been instructed to resume work in view of completing it.
According to Onuesoke, at the completion of the dual carriage way, it will connect the various communities, towns and cities, opening them up for commercial activities that will also herald other economic and developmental ventures.
“Investors will either be encouraged to build warehouse for storage of agricultural raw materials for production or storage of finished products to be transported outside the state. Some investors might decide to establish industries here hence the road is motorable for transportation of goods in and out. Such investment will lead to provision of employment,” he said.
