Former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi was finally screened today, after a series of postponements. He was the first to be screened and he gave some reasons as to why he should be a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

On His Achievements As Governor: Amaechi: ‘’I employed 13,000 teachers, employed 400 doctors, built health centers, and introduced 360 megawatts of power’’.

On How The Govt Can Create Employment: Amaechi: ‘’we also need to invest in mining and education, because many people are unemployable, Planting 100k hectares of Watermelons in Borno will ensure jobs for 30k workers’’.

On Corruption, Cases Against him & his Principles: Amaechi: ‘’Corruption is very difficult to define and I have never taken bribe in my life.

If there’s one man who doesn’t like corruption, I Rotimi Amaechi don’t like it.

I have not been indicted by any report.

‘Nigerian politicians believe there is need for compromise but not when it clashes with my principles’

On The Ex-President Jonathan: Amaechi: ‘’As good as the former president Goodluck Jonathan might have been, I don’t think he was suitable for the growth and development of Nigeria’’.

On The Strategy APC Used to Win the Election: Amaechi: ‘’ We sold to the public that there was massive corruption under PDP, and only way to end it was to put a signpost candidate.
