- The Nigerian Stock Exchange struggled for direction as the All-Share-Index managed a 10bps gain before the closing bell. NSEOILGS, NSECNSM and NSEINS appreciated on the back of Oando (3.26%), Dangflour (4.98%), and NEM (4.41%). Most tier-1 banks shed points to keep the NSEBANK in negative territory as Zenithbank (-3.37%) and Guaranty (-2.44%) closed down.
- 27 stocks advanced, 30 declined while 43 issues remained unchanged. Among the broad indices, 542million units of shares valued at N3.556 represents a 58.5% and 3% rise in volume and value traded respectively. PORTPAINT (N3.84), NPFMCRFBK (N1.27) and DANGFLOUR (N4.85) led the top gainers’ list while UNILEVER (N38.00), MOBIL (N152.05) and CUTIX (N1.74) led the top losers.
- NPF Microfinance bank released its FY 2014 result for the year ended 31st Dec. 2014. Revenue (N1.466b) and PAT (N477,816m) appreciated by 10.5% and 22.10% respectively from prior period. The company proposes a 15kobo dividend payment.
