The Nigerian economy is seriously under threat as oil prices fall and the exchange rate continues to depreciate against the dollar. There has been many articles written about this state of the economy and the response of the government. They have attempted to describe the quality of response we have seen from the government considering the obvious fact that this may just be medicine after death.
I finally found a cartoon description that typifies the response of the government to that economic state of Nigeria.
The Cartoon culled from Businessday shows the Minister of Finance attending to a sick Nigerian economy but still denying the fact that the economy is sick. Despite her denial she still recommends a dose of austerity measures whilst a kid which probably depicts the multitude of analysts out there suggest a satirical dose of pesticides.
