Nigerians Abroad Remitted $21.89Billion In 2012 (2011: $20.61billion)

The Minister of National Planning, Dr. Shamsudeen Usman  Friday in Abuja disclosed that Nigerians living abroad remitted about $21.89 billion in 2012, over one billion than what it was the previous year when the figure was $20.61 billion.

The minister who was speaking at the Ministerial Press Briefing to present the mid-term report of the ministry from 2011 to date said the successes achieved in the implementation of federal government’s transformation agenda accounted for the increase in remittance by Diaspora Nigerians.
