Nigeria’s Ambassador to the kingdom of Jordan and former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Taofeek Arapaja, has recorded a major diplomatic breakthrough as he has successfully brokered the commencement of direct flight between Nigeria and Jordan with effect from July 3 , 2013.
Arapaja in a statement made available to newswmen in Ibadan on Sunday said that the 33-year-old jinx of non-flight from Nigeria to Jordan has been broken.
He disclosed that the Royal Jordanian Airline would now carry passengers from Lagos to Amman, ending many years of discomfort suffered by Nigerians who have to go to Jordan via Cairo(Egypt), Doha(Qatar) or Dubai.
