I had always seen myself pursuing a part time career as a DJ rather than a a Financial Blogger when I was younger. My love for music was strong I thought if I couldn’t be a hip-hop artist then I might as well just settle for a DJ. Well, here I am a Financial Analyst making nothing close to $250k a month. Nevertheless, I love my profession and still earn enough money to listen to any hip-hop track I wish.
One guy however, who pursued his career is a certain DJ Tiesto of Dutch decent who according to Forbes is worth about $22million. Tiesto as he now prefers to be called received as much as $250k per gig(night) and plays at venues that attracts tens of thousands of people. He also records songs and has remixed tracks for the likes of Cold Play which have collectively hit number one on the chart of many European Countries. He mostly plays Electronic Dance Music and was the first DJ to play at the Olympics, having entertained thousands at the Athens Olympics.

- Steve Aoki – $12m

Skrillex who is no 2 is just 24years old and Avicii is just 22years old. Food for thought??
