THIS IS THE OFFICIAL COST OF AN NYSC UNIFORM

I have for years sought to know how much a full NYSC kit cost following my days as a Youth Corp Member. Ask people around you and you could be bombarded with figures ranging from N10k to N75k per kit. More recently information is easier to obtain thanks to the Freedom of Information Bill and the Bureau of Public Procurement who periodically make information on government contracts publicly available.

According to Procurement Records, a full NYSC kit cost N7,485. Break-down is as follows;
