Who una go vote for? A message to the “uninformed”
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Linkedin

The election is only a few hours away commencing with the Senate and House of Assembly elections. If you are like me, who owns a blackberry, or connected to Facebook 24/7, watch cable tv in the office, during lunch and in bed then you must have been inundated with a flurry of opinions, discussions, blogs, arguments, broadcast messages, viral videos, text messages and off course the proliferated debates.

A lot of us are probably more confused now than we were 2 weeks back about who to vote for President. If it were left to me and those who are like me then, there is every possibility that the PDP will be in for a tight race and could even see their 11 year grip to the evaporate. But then it’s not about “us”, it’s about the ordinary man on the street. The okada rider, the danfo driver, the Bolly seller and the street hawker. Those who don’t watch debates or have the “indecency” to depend on a blackberry to be socially informed. And so I switch my message to them in a language they can understand.

My brodas and sistas, tomoro na election oh. For 11 years since wey army comot na PDP dey rule us. Wen dem enter dem promise say NEPA go dey dey. Dem even talk say hungry nor go dey catch us again. Dem talk say our children school go better and say strike nor go dey dey again. Dem promise us say fuel nor go dey scarce and say fuel and kerosine nor go cost us plenty again. Dem even talk say transport nor go dey cost us plenty again, say better mode of transportation go dey. Dem talk say our papa and mama wey don old nor go dey suffer again. Say dem go dey pay dem their pension and make sure say if dem sick hospital go treat dem well well. Even our hospital sef dem talk say e go treat every body wey sick without paying too much money. Dem con even talk say dem go stop corruption and arrest all, the people wey don thief and still dey thief our money. Eleven years don pass and nothing don change. Abi e change for una eye?

All the tin wey dem say dem go do dem nova do finish. After 4 years dem say make we give dem another 4 say e go better, we give dem. After we give dem, dem ask for another 4. We give dem the four again, yet condition nor change. My people if Government nor gree change condition then condition go change government. Make una shine eye very well vote properly. The major power wey una get over government na vote. Make una vote ohhhh. We nor go sit down again say we nor vote because dem say our vote nor go count. E musto count this time. Make una comot vote for change, make life for better for us and for our children. Una don see Lagos, see as government dey work. Na so we want make Federal work ohh make life for better for we all.

God bless una, God bless the people of Nigeria.
