The dream of a prosperous career in nursing is becoming a reality for many Nigerians who are setting their sights on the United Kingdom.
A group of nurses has taken legal action against the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and the Minister of Health, among others, challenging the recent revisions to certificate verification guidelines.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria has revealed that Nigerian nurses and midwives must have a minimum of 2 years post qualification work experience from the date of issuance of permanent practicing licence before their certificates can be verified to foreign nursing boards/council.
